Any motivated student in grades K-8 may join our tutoring program. Each of our virtual tutors are interviewed and attend an online orientation to ensure the best possible experience for all those involved.
Register as a Tutor
Any high school or college student may register to become a tutor at Empower CNY. In joining as a tutor, you are becoming a part of the largest volunteer network of high school students from the CNY area.

Onondaga County Public Libraries
We tutor at various OCP Libraries, which provide exceptional spaces conducive to learning and listening. Each library we tutor at has a designated and private space where tutoring occurs. Register as a student to learn more.

Oneida Public Library
We tutor in the community room at Oneida Public Library from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Everyone from Oneida County or the regions surrounding it are welcome!

Vietnamese Community Center
We run a tutoring location at the Vietnamese Community Center for all students associated with the Vietnamese Community of Syracuse, and a considerable portion of the students we serve are first-generation U.S. citizens.

Virtual Tutoring, Sakhi + Regional
Tutoring virtually is just as impactful as tutoring in-person. We serve school districts across Central New York by supplying local tutors. We’ve recently partnered with SAKHI, an activist organization based in NYC that is fighting for South-Asian womens’ rights. We directly work with single-mother families.

Syracuse NE Community Center
Community centers serve as great locations for tutoring, as they provide numerous connections with the community in which they are located. We plan to begin tutoring at the Syracuse NE Community Center starting this fall.

Oswego Public Library
We tutor at Oswego Public Library on a weekly basis from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Any students or potential tutors from Oswego, Fulton, or the surrounding areas are welcome to come!
